Prayer Updates
I love the month of January. As much as I love the Christmas season, Januarys are a time for great hope and optimism. I anticipate God will do great things in 2010. As you pray in this new month, year, and decade, here are a few prayer requests to get you going:
- Construction: We need God’s grace as we finish out the construction of our 3600 square foot multipurpose room. We are so thankful for the miracle of the provision of water to even build that building, so now we look to Jesus to utilize the space for his glory.
- Calvary Downtown: Our Sunday night service/campus. There are people to reach downtown. That is an understatement. Pray that God would give us grace and favor and open doors at DLI and MIIS, specifically.
- Manly Revolution: Please think of and pray for the men who will attend this conference March 5-7 with Sandy Adams. I really pray expectantly for this one.
- Missionaries: There is so much God is doing on the mission field through the missionaries at Calvary. I’ll name two right now — Brenten Powers, missionary to Latvia, will be visiting us in a few short weeks, along with his family. Pastor Steve and Nora Braselton will be heading back to Malawi shortly, where they will hold their first semester at a discipleship school for pastors.
There is, of course, much more that could be said. Pray for your church. Pray for your pastors. Pray for the different ministries. Let’s ask God to pour out his Spirit upon us in 2010.
I love you guys.
